John Bankston, Malakoff café and automobile service man, was named by the Commissioner’s Court of Henderson County on Saturday as the new Justice of the Peace of precinct No. 8. His appointment was made by the court after the elected judge, Earl gentry, had tendered his resignation to that body. Mr. Bankston, after being duly sworn, immediately assumed the duties of his new office.
Mr. Gentry, who has served in the office since January 1st this year, resigned his post in order to devote his full time to his newly acquired insurance business.
