Tiger Bands to Present Concerts on Wednesday

Phillip Hatton, director of the Malakoff Bands, has announced that the band department will present two programs on Wednesday, December 20, the day school closed for the Christmas holidays.

The first of these programs will be at 12:15 in the Junior High gymnasium with the Kitten Junior High Band and Chorus performing. The concert will consist of familiar Christmas carols and end with the Christmas Parade march used by the Kitten Band at the Wills Point and Canton Christmas parades.

The second program will be presented by the Tiger Band in concert at 1:30 at the High School auditorium. The Chorus will also be featured.

Some of the numbers to be played will be , “We Need a Little Christmas,” “Jingle Bell Rhapsody,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Holiday Tune,” “Three Songs for Christmas,” “Silver Balle,” and “Holiday Sleigh Ride.”

Following the concert, Miss Vicki Knox will present a Christmas reading and the closing prayer will be offered by Jerry Rainwater.

The public is cordially invited to each concert, and admission is free.
