  1. Mother always complained about how high the water/sewer bill was and carefully selected what she would and would not water. It is so outrageous now I feel for my “in town” friends who have to pay such outlandish bills.

    • Of course, in 1917, there was no city of Malakoff and Mr. Thomas Anthony Bartlett, Sr. owned the water company…another testimonial to the advantages of private capitalism over government-controlled incompetence…
