From The Malakoff News
19 April, 1917

This morning Roby I. Broyles and Rev. H. B. Laney left on the early train for Corsicana.  On their arrival, they were met by Miss Edna Cunningham, who has been employed at Hubbard City for some time past, and it did not take long for Parson Laney to pronounce the words that made them man and wife.  Rev. Laney returned on the morning train and said both parties seemed very well pleased with the life sentence and would return home on the night train after spending the day in Corsicana.
