The “Good English Club,” composed of eighth grader students of the Malakoff Junior High and their teacher, Mrs. Norris Starkey, have presented the school library a 1957 Websters New International Dictionary as a parting gift from the class of ’57. The front of the dictionary carries the inscription in gold letters, “Presented by the Eighth Grade of 1957.”
The club and their teachers sponsored the sale of candy, cookies and cakes twice during the year to raise funds for purchasing the gift. The class will enter Malakoff High School in September.
