Malakoff Girl Died in Local Hospital; Burial on Sunday

Edna Elizabeth Carter, aged 13 years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Carter of Malakoff, died in the P. and S. Hospital Sunday morning at 6:30 o’clock and the funeral was held at Malakoff Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock where burial was made.

Miss Carter had been in the local hospital several days.

Surviving are the parents, two brothers; Robert and Eugene Carter, and a sister, Lula Mae Carter, all of Malakoff.

The Sutherland-McCammon funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services for little Miss Edna Carter 13 year old
daughter of M/M Jack Carter of Route 2 were held at the
Malakoff cemetery at 4 o’clock Sunday with the Rev. H. B.
Laney officiating.

Little Miss Edna passed away at an early hour Sunday
morning at the Navarro Clinic in Corsicana, where she was
taken early last week with an acute attack of appendicitis.

Examination at the Clinic revealed that the appendix had
become ruptured and immediate operation could not be
undertaken, and death claimed her after several days of
serious illness.
